This is a special first-run release of our latest FC-compatible puzzle game inspired by Mazu, the guardian of the seas. This limited First Voyage Edition includes a blessed pendant and exclusive extras available only during this pre-order period.

First Voyage Edition - Limited First Run

This initial batch includes:

This edition is produced in a single, limited run to determine the number of pendants to be prepared and blessed. Future copies will not include the blessed pendant or cultural booklet.

About the Pendant:

Each First Voyage Edition includes a complimentary Mazu pendant independently obtained at Dajia Jenn Lann Temple, one of Taiwan’s best-known Mazu temples. I personally passed each pendant over the temple’s incense burner according to customary devotional practice. It is included as a cultural keepsake intended to connect the physical edition more closely with the traditions that inspired the game.

About the Game:

Mazu: Guardian of the Tides is a retro-style puzzle experience inspired by the legend of Lin Moniang. The game takes inspiration from NES classics such as The Adventures of Lolo.

Navigate through carefully crafted puzzles while discovering a story rooted in Taiwanese folklore and maritime tradition. Travel across islands collecting sacred animal tablets - if you grab the dragon tablet, you can even change the tides!

For the first time ever, players can experience the story and sacred powers of Lin Moniang (Mazu) at the heart of a video game.

Why 39 Copies?

The First Voyage Edition is limited to 39 copies maximum to honor cultural traditions. In Taiwanese culture, the number 9 (九, jiǔ) symbolizes longevity and continuity, perfect for a collectible tied to Mazu’s protection. This ensures each copy is both auspicious and meaningful, making your edition truly special.
